Artist Dan Rankin LLC

Daniel Rankin is a 6th generation Florida native. Born and raised in the Sarasota area, he is a second-generation Firefighter and 25-year veteran Battalion Chief. Often referred to as “The Renaissance Man”, Rankin is amongst many other things, an artist, musician, and chef. His artistic areas of interest include painting, sculpting, music, Costume Design, Prop Design, Film Making, writing, and Culinary Arts. Although he describes himself as being an “artistic chameleon, fully capable of adapting to the demands of any project”, Dan attributes having worked in such a wide range of medium as the catalyst for enabling him to develop his own unique style. Rankin defines his style as a “spontaneous inner-reflective perspective emerging from the dynamic of the moment”. He works in a variety of styles such as spontaneous realism, abstract realism, impressionism, abstract, pop art, and street art. His work often features use of bright and bold colors as well as striking elements of dimension achieved by unique paint application methods. The basis of his artistic creations is deep rooted in a life-long fascination with all of the senses. His work is currently part of private art collections in over 25 states and can be seen locally at such prestigious locations as; the Tropicana Field Stadium, Sarasota Yacht Club, Venice Yacht Club, Robert Graham, Art Ovation Hotel, and at Live Art events throughout the area.
