DC Carson

About DC CARSON, 3D Mixed Media Artist After a lengthy career in international high-tech manufacturing, DC retired to a life of leisure and new adventures. A simple twist of fate soon intervened and launched his artistic endeavors. When DC and his wife D were preparing for the grand-opening of their wellness center, they needed something artistic to enhance the entrance to D’s yoga room. A Denver Design Center search came up empty.  Always being somewhat of a MacGyver, DC recycled two canvases and created his first 3-D abstract mixed media pieces, both of which he unexpectedly sold and received several orders for custom pieces. D also needed her entrance art. His leisurely life quickly became busy, especially when he decided to participate in festivals. Self-taught, DC enjoys creating pieces that spark the imagination and evoke conversation. His use of bold colors and geometric designs quickly capture people’s attention, especially when they notice the unique “cutout” he creates in the canvas that reveals an abstract painting beneath. His favorite question to answer is “What were you thinking when you created that piece?” To learn ‘what,’ stop by his booth, choose your piece, and ask. You’ll be surprised to hear what he says.
