| As a self-taught artist who started making jewelry after car crash injuries required me to remake my life, my work is very optimistic. I look to the future, timelessness, and clean execution of designs which achieve something more than the function and materials. I like the high polish possible with precious metals though it takes more work. My work is primarily hand fabricated with some cast components in precious metals and gemstones. I work with recycled 18k gold, platinum, silver and ethically sourced gemstones using hand fabrication techniques including forming, chasing, soldering, sand casting, polishing, and stone-setting with emphasis on design, quality, and finish. The Time Traveler collection is inspired by star charts, each piece looks like it could be ancient or from the future. Each piece has a unique star chart pattern chased into sterling silver, 18k gold or platinum with sliding beads and moving kinetic pieces. This collection has been featured in the Carnegie Museum and Jewelry exhibits across the US. The Dark Chocolate collection features 22k gold and platinum fused with oxidized sterling silver creating a striking contrast with diamonds and gemstones. |
