It is defined by the artist’s ability to innovate and bring out a modern masterpiece.  Through my work, I explore personal and cultural identity with my portraits. My works often challenge our ideas about what art should look like or how it should behave. ​The power of black and white images comes from their ability to transform objects and scenes we see every day into contrasted shapes and patterns that intrigue us. They make things more romantic, solemn, nostalgic, simplified, and sophisticated. The absence of color forces us to interpret the images from a state of neutrality and to make sense of what we are looking at solely on the basis of familiar shapes. This is to showcase the creativity and power of contrasted, colorless representations of our world.
