Ink Drawing

In my “seriously fun” artwork, you will find that the Magic is in the Details. My exquisitely patterned, whimsical ink drawings combine realistic depictions and unnatural patterning in a way that is pleasing to the eye and challenging to the mind. My lovingly articulated drawings of animals and nature are created by hand with ink on smooth fine art paper. I love to add both humor and drama to my animals and natural environments. My style of drawing harkens back to old etchings, illuminated manuscripts, and mandalas as well as contemporary tangles, but is uniquely my own. Each mark is painstakingly made by hand to create shape, form and mood, all using only black ink. Each drawing usually takes 30-50 hours to complete, but large drawings can take much longer. My time-intensive detailed style allows me to spend time contemplating the beauty & preciousness of each creature/object that I draw. I have a God- given quirky sense of humor that frequently peeks out of my artwork- I am very “serious” about my fun! You can find my work on my website and social media.
