My name is Virginia Gloekler and I make handmade tagua nut jewelry that comes from the Tagua palm tree that only grows in two continents, Africa or South America.

I live in Ormond Beach and I am one of the few people in this country that makes this jewelry. I shave the palm tree nut to my desired pieces than boil them in a pot with the powder of flowers to get the vibrant colors. I then polish them in a wood drum with wood pieces to get the shine. I am so proud to be part of the Paragon Art Festival in St. Armands this weekend.
