Lulu Design
Virginia Gloekler creates Lulu Design’s handmade tagua nut jewelry. Her love of making jewelry began at age seven with watermelon seeds, and her grandmother taught her the art of working with tagua nuts.
Virginia hand-carves the nuts, then boils the pieces with powders from organic flowers to create their vibrant colors. After drying, she tumbles them with wood chips in a wooden drum to give them their shine before assembling the jewelry. The finished pieces are light, colorful and individually made.
She enjoys attending art shows to meet people and share her love of art.
