| Maria Laura Barbato is an artist from Uruguay who has built her creative and professional life around compassion, imagination, and connection. After settling in Miami, she became a pediatric Occupational Therapist; work that naturally aligned with her creative spirit. Her artistic journey began when a deep connection with tiny glass beads sparked a transformative practice. Exploring how beads create form and emotion, she developed new techniques and blended mixed media to craft works defined by depth, movement, and light. Born from intention and quiet devotion, each mosaic is created one bead at a time; each a heartbeat, a whisper, a spark. Drawn from feminine wisdom, nature’s rhythms, and intuitive guidance, her slow and meditative process transforms thousands of beads into luminous landscapes.
