Maryann Palmgren Fine Art

I have
lived nearly my entire life in the great state of South Carolina, and all of
it by the sea – how lucky am I ?!  

I can
remember loving everything about art from as early as the 1st grade, so as a
freshman in college I registered my major as “Art” because deep
down there wasn’t really a choice to be made.    

By
surprise, I later became a high school Art teacher and, in one way or
another, I have spent the bulk of my years sharing my love for art and it’s
unfathomable depths with students of every age. Now it seems that I can
finally scratch the itch I’ve had all my life to put paint on canvas. 
  

Painting
delights, confuses, and surprises me all at the same time. I chase the colors
and composition on every canvas until the art uncovers itself, settles in,
and finds me-instead of the other way around. And when it finds me, what can
I say except- how lucky  am I?!
