My name is Megan Austin and I am a 4th tier PMC Certified Instructor who loves symbolism and tries to create pieces that possess meaning and that will have significance to their owners. Hopefully the jewelry purchased from my traveling storefront will be a piece that you cherish for years to come.
I am known in the jewelry world for my expertise in polishing Opal, Ammolite, Larimar, and Turquoise. I typically get orders from other retail jewelers for these stones and I am one of roughly 10 polishers in the USA that possesses the skill to polish Ammolite. I get most of my stones in the rough direct from the mines I visit and dig in throughout the USA. I am exceptionally familiar with the properties of the four stones listed above and know a little information about all of the others I offer on my website. When setting my stones, I try and pull the sculptural design from the stone which makes the piece stronger visually as a whole. I want to create mini-sculptures that can venture out into the world with their owners.
I enter my jewelry in many exhibits and competitions. I also have my jewelry displayed in three galleries and am working with other galleries to hopefully have my jewelry featured in many more to come.
