Michael Pintar

I want to push the boundaries of my paintings that grab your eyes and soul. It’s a combination of gut intuition and that ah-ha moment of realization about a new concept. This is where my paintings start. From that point on it’s about technique and using a variety of styles to help a painting reach its full potential. My subjects range from abstract and landscape, sometimes occupying the same space on a canvas. Abstract gives me total freedom from preconceived outcomes. Landscape painting keeps me connected to reality and my love for the outdoors. Line, shape, form, space, light and color can all come into play through experimentation. In the end, it’s art, and it’s subjective in how I go about creating it and how someone interprets it.
