| I am a self-taught painter who lives in Plant City, Florida. My style, I believe, can be bold, bright and full of texture. But, you will also find me enjoying softer, more mellow impressions. I love abstract expressions as well as impressionism and am prone to dancing between the two. My tools of choice tend to be a bit nontraditional, with the silicon wedge and palette knife being the backbone of my work. The best advice I ever received was from a wonderful artist, named Jonas Gerard. He told me, “Rachel, less is more”. I just smiled, because I’m not sure he believed that either. |
