SeaWeaves by Roze Malone
I felt wire wrapping was being done by many artisans, I needed to go beyond wrapping for a more personal expression, which I found in wire weaving. My approach is spontaneous; not planned, no templates, drawings, or jigs. No drills, solder, or glue. I keep it as organic as possible like the materials I use, simultaneously simple yet complex. As I’m creating, each design changes from moment to moment. Wire weaving is a way for me to combine precious metals, gems, stones, pearls, coral, sea glass, etc.,. evoking the simple yet complex beauty of life.
