Su Griggs Allen

Su lives in Sarasota with her husband and little pup Marley. They summer in Bakersville, North Carolina, where she has her gallery/studio, Dogwood, open July through October by appointment.

ARTIST STATEMENT Inspirations for my sculptures and mixed media paintings come through my feelings and reflections of life, nature, and spiritual mysteries combined with a sense of playfulness or whimsy. I go in my studio each day and seek the visions living beneath the surface. My goal for my art is to convey a world of mystery and wonder and open the imagination of the viewer so that they may complete the story.
