Valerie Romano

Valerie Romano is a master pointillist whose distinctive landscapes capture the “vibrating light” and quiet complexity of forests, coastlines, and reflective waters. Her early career as a commercial illustrator at Boeing—where she created technical aircraft drawings for the U.S. Air Force—sharpened the meticulous precision and structural discipline that defines her work today. After spending over three decades in the high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and teaching drawing at Eastern New Mexico University, she now calls New England home. Her current collection describes shifting  landscapes colors, one dot at a time. A dedicated educator who volunteers teaching painting to visually impaired students, Valerie serves on the Board of the Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show and exhibits nationally on the top-tier fine art circuit. Having grown up on Long Island, she is incredibly excited to return to her roots this summer to showcase her latest works, including Breaking Point, with the local community.
