The Black Honkeys, founded in 2001, has become an integral part of the Tampa Bay music landscape, having been voted the “Best Local Band in the Tampa Bay Area” 3-years running and Creative Loafing’s “Best of the Bay” Readers Choice Award. They play the range from R&B, Funk, Soul to Rock. They recently released a new music video from their CD entitled “Icebreaker“.

The Black Honkeys is a blending of the musical talents and skills of:
- Will (The Thrill) Harris – bass guitarist and founding member
- Greg Czinke – guitar, backup vocals and master of tasty guitar licks!
- John Dash Dixon – master of true R&B, Gospel and Funk
- Scott Myers – trombone
- Brother Phil – lead vocals, founding member
- Steven C. Tanner – drums, played with the group since its founding
- Nicle (Ms. Groovalicious) Simone – lead and backup vocals
- Terry Clark – veteran of the Tampa Bay scene, always ready to deliver the goods!
- Bill Summer – guitar
